HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Re: Q5/Q10 Pro Supported Peripherals

With Rii mini i25 air mouse is accurate? I think to buy this.

i was primarily lookin for an air mouse with the power on/off feature through (IR learning).... for me , it was the biggest obstacle since i believe that every other feature is tolerable enough or can easily be managed...
the remote itself has a quality feel to it and not as bulky or heavy on the hand as the mele f10 deluxe.... not expensive also....
sounds like i'm promoting it... no , i'm just happy that i don't have have to use my finger to switch on the box, or use the included remote for only one purpose based on my preferences....

For the power button to work you need a remote with an IR learning function. Like Rii i25.

Thanks big time futeko.... it's working well. now i can switch the himedia q10 pro on and off without the use of the original remote.

hi trykkertor......can you try out the video playback quality using kodi ?

HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Himedia video player dominance.....
« on: August 16, 2016, 06:01:54 PM »
it seems that the himedia video player is controlling every other video player ( when 24hz is switched on via the app menu , the effect takes place on every other app , etc. android default player and mxplayer. Even with the minor playback artifacts i noticed before when using himedia video player are also affecting the playback quality on other video apps.....
the only exception is kodi , which is having it's own identity with no artifacts or automatic 24hz switching based on choices made on himedia video player... and that's a relief.  so for me , kodi remains the best video player on the himedia q10 pro

The vibration effect hasn't been mentioned before on the forum.

check : http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1045.msg7781#msg7781
linuxx used the term "vibration" and i used "artifacts"...  i don't think anyone would benefit from coming out with something which is not true , including me and you. i just wanna enjoy my Q10 pro to the fullest....

Hi salalee, you have some blocks at the end of file with kodi as I explain in first thread? It's strange that block last 8-9 seconds of video.

no , didn't notice it bro......

23
Turned off but vibration still persist. For this I think it's an issue of himedia app, because as I said with kodi zero problem. I'll try to capture a scene with camera to show that vibration effect.

you are right man...  my tv is a Samsung js9500 4K tv and i've been having the same issue (video playback scene artifacts when using himedia video player and they are always there no matter how you change the settings within the player or even in the main android settings.
i actually reported it about 3 weeks ago but i didn't get any reply... now i'm using kodi , but honestly missing the himedia video player goodies.... :(

hi futeko... i flashed my box with the given firmware (aside from himedia's official site , futeko.com is the only place at which we can rest assured that the firmware is official)....
with the 24Hz mode enabled , the 1080p/60Hz mkv files the micro stutters are gone.
the thing is , using himedia video player (with wrapper) , there are some video artifacts (with or without 24Hz mode enabled). i actually noticed them when getting close to my samsung  js9500 4k led tv..... such distortions or artifacts are not present on kodi 16.1 (without wrapper that is)..... kindly try both players for the same mkv file and you will notice'em for sure..... aside from the mentioned regression , the whole q10 pro experience is totally awesome. thanks bro

This is  1.0.5  final  for China version...i think

http://www.hd.club.tw/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=207368&mobile=yes

yup it is.....i'm staying in the arabian gulf and got the box via ali express from china.... it should probably work for me as long as i'm gonna change the language from the main settings...  ;D

Not sure why you would now be getting stutter where before you weren't. Could be network related if you've reset app settings and it's made no difference?

There will be a new firmware next week. I can't guarantee it will fix everything, but I advise waiting and seeing if it brings an improvement.

thanks bro....
i've put 3 different android boxes side by side and played some 1080p mkv files , (beelink R89 "rk3288" , minix U1 "amlogic s905" and the Q10 pro... gosh , i couldn't just believe that i was using the former two... with all do respect to those brands  but nothing beats the Q10 pro. i mean the video playback quality is just superb

27
apologies bro , my bad....  when i freshly flashed q10 pro with the official 1.0.3 , there was no stutter , but lately and for some weird reason , i started experiencing the stutter from time to time on 1080p mkv files) so i was just wondering if i can do something with the himedia video player to bring it back to the way it was... clearing the cash , setting back the PQ settings to defaults and reinstalling the app itself didn't help out...
by the way ; there's no stutter when using kodi's default player (w/o wrapper)..... thanks

28
aside from kodi , just wondering how can i replace the system-based playercorefactory (wrapper) with the attached file. just wanna use it with himedia video player... thanks in advance
