Did you buy a new player ? This player that you post it's seems a little bit old and does not support AV1, VCC (H266) and 3d.

Hello,

Im a owner of Himedia q5 II pro or something like this for more than 5 years. The player is still working very well but I want something new that support Dolby Vision. Anyone can recommend me alternative ?

Hello everyone,

is there any alternative firmware for Q5 Pro like LineageOS or CyanogenMod for mobile phones. Or is there a way how I can get source code or a way to upgrade some system packages like kernel, samba ?

The device is working fine and can work at lest few more years. There is no new technology that need to buy new device with new hardware. The problem is that the samba unable to mount version 2 or 3. Only version 1 that is not upported from samba anymore.

You could also try setting a fixed IP for the Samba share and entering it's details directly in the Q10 Pro (so bypassing SMB server search).

Well, when I try ti add fixed IP for the Samba share I receive error: "new server error" Any hint how to add the server with fixed IP ?

I have the same problem on my Q5 Pro. Probably problem is in samba support. I try to search and receive " no servers " error. If I try to add local server I receive error: new server error. My pc is connected to this server also but with SMB3 protocol. Any one have ideas ?
