The drive is new and I think it is not the issue, since it plays in all other players. This problem is there only with Z9s...

It is actually a portable USB 3, 1 TB hard drive from Western Digital.

Sometimes,  the movie will play non stop, sometimes 1/2 hour or 45 minutes and then it freezes. If the problem is the power to the drive, will the player recognize the drive, I am not sure. This happened to me with two of the USB ports, changed the USB wires and tried also, still it persists.

I have tried all the movies again in another player as I said in my first message and it played without any issue.

I do not think this problem was there with the first software when I bought the same from Futeko..

When playing movie in the USB drive, the video freezes randomly and the drive gets disconnected. Then I have to reboot the player again to connect the drive and watch the movie. This happens to any random file. Whereas the same file plays in all other machines (Dune HD Pro 4k, Nvidia Shield, HiMedia Q10) without any problem.

As I like this player better than all listed above, is there any solution for this.

The software is the latest and I did a reset after  updating.

It seems China has a lot of holidays. This kind of logistic issue happened when Dune HD Pro 4k was launched as well. Anyway we hope there are no more delays. Eagerly waiting for the machine. Thanks..

"Very sadly, we write to notify you of another delay for your Dune HD Pro 4K pre-order despatch.

Dune informed us today of another delay, this time due to the Chinese 'Dragon Boat' public holiday (a real thing) delaying the shipment. We keep being given delivery dates by Dune which they are repeatedly missing. All other Dune resellers are in the same position.

Dune say the product is packed up and ready and will leave China tomorrow. It will get to us around the middle of next week so our new despatch date is 28-JUN.

The launch date got extended many times. The Chinese 'Dragon Boat' public holiday is the reason. I am sure that this holiday is not something that came up suddenly, so that they were not able to ship the same. Dune should be come up with some logical reason, instead of this.

I had placed an order for the Dune HD Pro 4K, the shipping date was 6th June and got confirmation mail of the shipment. Now Futeko show 13th June. Is it a revised shipping date or a new date for the orders if it is purchased today...

Do you think that a new firmware will be released for Q10Pro or a new player with all current issues corrected will be released ignoring the Q10Pro ? the delay for implementing the Kodi 17 without wrapper seems to point to this and this is what usually happens to most of the players.

All the issues which you  had mentioned are not from Kodi 17. Kodi 17 works perfectly with Nvidia Shield TV. All the issues are from Himedia, as the customised Himedia Android update to Nougat do not support Kodi 17. Even the problem of hidef audio which is one of the most important issue has been delayed sorting out in the name of Chinese New Year. It is very sad that customer satisfaction is not an important criteria for Himedia.
