HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Wrapper not accessing files
« on: January 30, 2019, 02:02:14 PM »
Hi,

I've just taken delivery of a Q10 Pro and have problems with the wrapper.

My six hard drives are attached to a Zappiti media player which acts as a Samba server. I have no problem accessing these files via SMB V1 over my network. Various devices can read the files including Kodi on the Q10 Pro. No passwords are used.

However, the wrapper will not access the files. The wrapper app itself says its wants credentials, which do not exist.

The LAN option in the Media Centre will let me browse to the six drives but not any of the eighteen shares that are on them. When I click on one of the drives it simply says..."no such file or directory exists".

I can't add the shares manually using the "add share" function in Media Centre. I get a "network server error" message.

The Kodi Player is no good to me and I need the wrapper.

Any ideas?

Egreat A11, A10, A5 / Time Remaing and Forced Subtitle Flag
« on: March 28, 2017, 07:51:58 AM »
1. Does the time remaining option on a file for the clock work with MKV?

2. Likewise for MKV will the internal player recognise the flag for forced subtitles?

HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Reversing the clock

I believe the LCD display now shows the time elapsed on a movie. Is it possible to reverse the direction to show time remaining?

HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Multiple problems with Q10 Pro
« on: July 22, 2016, 07:45:33 AM »
1. I have the Q10 connected to my PC using the slave USB. There is an internal 3TB Toshiba drive which Windows sees but the Q10 does not. I have re-formatted using GPT and NTFS whilst the drive was in the Q10.

2. After a factory reset I installed Kodi from the store, which appears to be Jarvis. I installed the wrapper and this is showing in the Kodi directory. I've changed the audio options in Kodi to passthrough and yet I only get vanilla DTS and DD and not HD audio which my receiver is capable of. I am playing files over the LAN. In the Kodi passthrough options there was only "Dolby Digital (AC3) Capable Receiver" and "DTS Capable Receiver".

3. The stop and FW/RW keys do not work in Kodi, I'm using a Harmony ELite. I have to bring up the menu and scan from there. I've installed a Flirc with Kodi profile and that has made no difference.

Any ideas?
