So..I downgraded to 1.08

Music is back, Video is back (although I like the PQ of 2.00/Android 7).

But atleast , almost everything is running...

same here , i downgraded to 1.0.8....
honestly, the video playback using himedia videoplayer is really good and witnessed a noticeable improvement as compared to 1.0.8.  the video playback is vivid and crisp. yet , noticed some minor artifacts on some objects edges. Regarding , kodi 16.1 , there is some weird stutter for about a minute on every 1080p mkv video file , but after that it gets super smooth....

hi futeko...... thank you (and thanks to pcristi) for such a great experience with q10 pro....,
i noticed that after LP firmware 1.0.8 update  ( either from 1.07 or even after downgrading from nougat to 1.0.8 ) that the touch screen front buttons became less responsive, i mean when i try to switch on the box from the touch-sensitive power button on the box , i have to keep on pressing it or even move my finger over it several times to power it on....  and such an issue is with both , official and customed 1.0.8 firmwares.
i didn't experience this with previous firmwares.
can you kindly check on that?  thanks a lot in advance. cheers

kindly pcristi , any idea how to hide the annoying soft keys on nougat? in your modified LP firmware you were able to help us with that... thanks a lot

the only reason why i didn't update my box to latest official N. firmware yet is the anticipation of pcristi custom one.
yup.... it's  like he's reading our minds and knows what we actually want.... i just hope that in the future he can even dig deep and do some modifications or tweaks to fix the video playback artifacts using the default video player.

google play store for Android N of Q10 Pro:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/w9eeoov7ebf8pkf/update_googleplay.zip

For safety reason please backup all your important information.

step:
- un-install youtube
- download update_googleplay.zip
- remane update_googleplay.zip to update.zip
- copy update.zip to USB
-  Insert USB stick into Q10 Pro USB 2.0 port
- Update from Menu (Settings/Upgrade/Local Upgrade)
- The box will auto-reboot when finished.

if youtube leanback not work install from APK YouTube for Android TV

awesome bro. big thanks....

It will not be long for the final version or return to Android 5?

well for me , it only took me 3 hrs to try it out and re-flashed the box with the lollipop firmware. as it has been mentioned before , it's not for everyday use and since i'm using the box on daily basis , i just had to reflash with 1.0.8 lollipop version.

7
thanks a lot looun. already aware of that.
pcristi thanks bro. when it comes to the UI , i believe other explorers are inferior to es.

8
thanks futeko.
installing es file explorer (which is crucial to many) causes external hard drives identification issues on both android 6 and 7. that's why many major android tv boxes companies are still sticking on lollipop updates.

himedia player is suffering some edge enhancement issues as compared to kodi's default player.... i played many video files and paused the playback at certain scenes and i can easily tell the difference in quality. so for me (at least for now) , himedia player is inferior to kodi's default player.

agree with you , and that seems to be the only difference between using optical SPDIF passthrough and hdmi audio output...  even the sound quality is pretty close.

Judder is still present also with latest fw in himedia app....I have to use kodi everytime.

that is true....  also there's no video playback edge enhancement.  i have to use kodi's default player

The last update we got from them said next firmware Android 7 and release before end October.
good news  :) , hope the Imprex 2.0 will be improved (sharpness etc etc)

truly hope so , sharpness and edge enhancement issues....

13
that's strange.... i've never had any issue with video playback or SPDIF passthrough audio using kodi 16.1 default player in any of the firmwares!!! maybe your tv settings or the android video and audio  settings.

the Rii i25 has a learning feature through which you can set up every button on it to be like those on the original ir remote (including powering the box on and off)

well for me it's working fine with a dedicated button for it... you might wanna get a better review from someone else though... 😬
