Title: Red/White phonos not working

I just plugged my q10pro into my spare projector in a guest bedroom and tried plugging my stereo amplified speakers in via the red/white phono plugs and I can't get any sound out of the box. Tried with 2 different blu ray players and the old ps3 and I get sound.
Is there some special setting to get sound from these or are the just for show. I can't use spdif or HDMI for sound as my proper JVC home cinema is in the lounge. Only option I have is these speakers.

Solved by doing a complete re-install. Thanks for the help and suggestions
