Title: Missing manual
Post by: VitTH on May 24, 2016, 02:15:54 PM
Hi everybody,
I just bought the Q10Pro. I can't understand why Companies, not only Himedia, don't write a little manual of their products. We must ask and look in forum (eg remote control programming to control also TV/amp). We loose time in question and tests... (excuse me for my bad english, it's not my language).

Best Regards

I can't see the manual in this "data sheet" web page...

There is no proper manual for Q5/Q10 Pro.

No Chinese brand product I've known has had a manual. They all rely on forum support.

It's not as much a problem as it might have been a few years ago because everything runs Android and the key OS features are the same for all. Kodi is very well documented via it's wiki.

Thanks, I know that no Chinese brand had a manual and everything runs Android,  I refer not to OS but to a HW features, for example, to remote control programming to control TV or HiFi... I agree that i don't need a manual to use Android OS, expecially for phones. But a mediaplayer without keyboard and screen it's an object that must be connected, communicate and interact with various external devices... i was referring to this. Anyway thanks for the assistance.

I have 3 questions:

1) my Q10 doesn't keep time when switch off. The time is syncronized after boot when WiFi is connected. It's correct or it's a defect?

2) Please, can i have an official (form Futeko or Himedia) list of compatible airmouse and keyboards? I think it's a good idea post compatible peripherals on http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=711.msg4671#msg4671

3) (app/OS relate...) how can i select multiple file? (it's a normal and simple operation with phone and tablet, for example to copy form external source to internal hdd)

Thanks
Best regards

Not a valid statement. I have some Xtreamer Media Players (origin =Hong Kong) and these have a nice downloadable full manual. These are not shipped in  a printed form and (mostly)  not updated with changes made later to the firmware. That is a good compromise (cost/functionality) in my view.

Xtreamer are a Korean company aren't they? They're very much the exception to the rule anyway.

It would be better to have a full manual, I fully agree.

This is normal.

There is no official list. I will set up a forum thread for it and link from the FAQ thread. I'll also trawl the forum for stuff reported working and add it to the list. In general, most airmice / keyboards / webcams work. Q5/Q10 Pro use standard Android kernel, which has excellent support built in for peripherals.

Install 'ES File Explorer'. It's free from Play Store and is a vastly better file manager app than the pre-installed one.

I agree with our friends here.

Espescially for specific function of media player. I mean:
- setting Ybcr
- Setting HDMI Audio Type
- and so on...
