Title: Cann't run Kodi. Error: App requires external storage
Post by: destroyer2usa on May 15, 2016, 07:06:37 PM
Worked before but not aymore.

I uninstalled Kodi but cann't download again thru Google Play store gives the same error:

App requires external storage. Insert SD card or usb storage with sufficient storage and try again.

I have 3 TB hooked up so that should be sufficient storage I suppose...

A couple of times shutting it down and restarting it again fixed above stated  error.

Kodi downloaded and is working again...

It's possible if you've installed a lot / have a lot stored internally that that message is caused by running out of space on internal storage. In which case only option is to delete some stuff or move stuff not required to be on internal storage to external.

I understand, that Android Marshmallow will allow sd cards to be seen as internal storage.  But I assume that this device will not be updated for some time.

That's the wierd thing.

I haven't installed anything.

I was running with out of the box apps. Unpacked the Q10 tested it...Turned it off and when I turned it on again above error came about when trying to run Kodi.
