Title: LPS (Linear Power Supply) on Q10 Pro
Post by: m-i-c-k-e-y on May 04, 2016, 04:05:45 PM
Using Q10 Pro as my Player for my Geek Pulse Infinity DAC/Amp and is still very statisfied with the result.

Tried w/ an LPS (Linear Power Supply) knowing its benefits, and found good results with it.
So bought a 12V 2A LPS from Audiophonics.fr (http://www.audiophonics.fr/en/hi-fi-power-supply/linear-power-supply-double-2x-12v-2a-p-10252.html (http://www.audiophonics.fr/en/hi-fi-power-supply/linear-power-supply-double-2x-12v-2a-p-10252.html))

True to my experiment have found good results in audio. TO MY SURPRISE (heard this before but just seen it until now), video has somewhat more clearer, more definition, and the colors more dynamic.

Do you have compare the  Audio quality between embed V200 DAC VS Geek Pulse, with common Power Supply ? and with this LPS ?

The effect of a good quality PSU is often remarkably big. High end equipment pays a lot of attention to this. The PSU for real expensive equipment is always external and not just shielded in a separate compartment what the better units do mostly. Also component selections have a major impact.

Unfortunately my ears are not what they used to be anymore. So for me it is now just theory.

@looun

Neutron MP, UAPP and Hiby reported a 16/48 resolution.  However it supports 24/192 digitally. So I don't know what gives to its stereo RCAs (Analog). Hardware or software limitation?  But even though, faced to a dedicated dual mono femto clocked  32/384, DSD256 DAC/Amp, discussion is just moot.

Bought it as an experiment. An Android player with a 3.5 inch HDD drive that can support my DAC/Amp. To see if will be a good alternative Instead making a PC music server which will cost 5-10x more.

4K video was a big bonus for me.
