Title: ''HDR output modes'' not available - solved
Post by: OlivierQC on May 02, 2016, 02:43:20 PM
Hello,

I have a question for those who have a 4K HDR TV.

Do you have the "HDR output modes" available on your Q10 PRO , because in my case i do not have this option with my Q10 pro

see the picture below

i had made clean re-flash of the f/w (with pin in reset hole) but without success.

the following is my audio / video equipment :  Himedia Q10 PRO/Pioneer SC-81 Elite/Sony xbr X9305C

thank in advance

I have it, even with my "only" 1080p Sony Bravia.
I could set it in the Video and HDMI Settings

It shows me 1080p 10bit.

Do you have an uptodate HDMI Cable?
Did you change it?
Do you use the one from you Pro Player?

Have you tried once HDMI Auto?
It seems that the Q10 Pro is not able to communicate with the TV.

Do you use the USB3 port resp. is there something plugged in?
If yes, remove it and restart the Q10 Pro and try again.

@OlivierQC, you somehow have the beta firmware that removed the SDR/HDR/Dolby feature. Not sure why HiMedia did this, or possibly they're auto-switching to manage this now?

In any case, think we need the manual switch functionality back in... will let HiMedia know.
