Title: Q10 Pro Freezes
Post by: maninthehighcastle on May 02, 2016, 09:00:15 AM
Hi there!

I watched the first movie yesterday with the q10 Pro and Kodi. I've got 3 complete freezes in an 2 hour movie. I had to unplug the device from power. Did someone experience the same issue?

Just got my Q10 Pro a week ago and I'm have problems with my media player not booting up. The display lights up and says "BOOT" but no HiMedia logo and I have to unplug the power from the back of the unit for a few seconds and then it boots. This is the second time in 2 days it's happened.

Is it a software bug or hardware problem?

Hi, I haven't gotten freezes watching a movie (yet!) but I posted where my media player doesn't boot and the display says "BOOT" I have to unplug the power cord for a few secs and when I reconnect it it boots fine after that. Happened twice in the last 2 days.

For both of you  it is highly recommended to do a full re-install of the original firmware as the first diagnosis. It may have gotten corrupt during transport.
If that does not help, then it is time to contact the supplier of the unit as it is not normal.

Two similar topics merged into this one. Report freezing problems here.

We have seen the occasional device freeze as well as the system UI has stopped message.

We appreciate that stability is very important, and whilst it isn't bad right now, it will be improved in future firmware. In the short term, a firmware reinstall (even of current firmware) will improve stability, as will not running too many apps in the background.
