Hello
I have installed the Nova Lauchner and on the Desktop I have the Week aCalendar Widget installed.
If the is a reminder with Sound, at the same moment there pops up all three seconds in a never ending loop:
"System UI ended"
If I click on OK in three seconds it pops up again.
Only thing you can do, is to switch off the Q10 Pro.
Is it possible to switch off such reminders or reminder sounds or should this be corrected in an Firmware Update?
Is there any solution out there?
Thanx.

The "System UI ended" message does happen sometimes with some apps. It's very much app dependent. For instance I've never seen it happen with Kodi, but it happens occasinally when running the BBC iPlayer app for an extended period.
At the moment, the answer is to not run apps that cause the message.
It will be fixed in future firmware. Thanks for mentioning an app that causes the message to pop up regularly, that will be useful for HiMedia when diagnosing and fixing.

I can't replicate this. Nova Launcher runs without any immediate (<10 minutes) problems.
We welcome more suggestions for apps that cause this error message though. It's helpful for fixing it.

Hello futeko
Its not the Nova Launcher. That runs quiet and good.
It is aCalendar resp. aCalendar Plus, that causes the UI System ended message, when an alarm starts and it playes the alarm sound.
I can reproduce this several times.
If you want to, try aCalender, put the week widget on the Nova Launcher desktop, and enter a reminder with sound, that starts in some minutes.
Start Kodi, play a movie and wait... As aCalendar plays the reminder sound the message System Ui ended appears.

I've had it with Kodi , but i've also had the issue being on the Standard Menu when starting up the Box.

Yes, I had that one time too. Directly after the box started.
But I think that I heard an Calendar alarm short before the UI System ended message appeared.
However, it is a bad message, because the only solution is, to restart the Q10 Pro. :(

Amazing! I swear to you guys....I have never ever seen this message....
Just an idea.
Post what apps you have installed to the system and did this message pop up right out of the box or after you reinstalled a firmware?

After I reinstalled the Firmware (did that four times).
As I wrote, I have installed Nova Launcher instead of Android 3D Launcher, and on the Nova Launcher Desktop I had the Live Widgets of f.e. aCalendar (week) and f.e. GMX Mail.
This "System UI ended" message loop appears, when there sounds a "New Email alarm", or as I wrote, if an aCalendar sounds a "reminder Alarm" and I am watching a movie in Kodi via Himedia Player.
Meanwhile I deleted aCalendar and GMX Mail, because popping up those messages in my eyes is not professional.
For me it seems, that if I am watching a movie with Digital Sound, and there sounds another normal Box Sound, something hangs up and this message appears.

So widgets are your problem...anything else runs.
> idea is system does not handle more that one sound/audio-stream at once well/bad.

Thats what it looks like, but I do not know that definatelly.
Those Apps did not pop up anything, they only play the alarm sounds, if there was f.e. a reminder in aCalendar or a new Email in GMX Mail.
I think that all widgets with alarm sound notes will cause the "System UI ended" error.
But I think, those thing should work by standard, because especially Anroid is a System of such "Live tickers", what f.e. IOS sure not is.
So watching a movie and have live widgets alarm sounds, no matter from which App should work without error messages.

Yes. Definitely. We're on firmware #1. Stability is not terrible but will improve rapidly with new firmware.

Great, Futeko! :D
