Post by: hardcort on April 25, 2016, 11:40:45 PM
UPDATE

NFS Sharing Working within Kodi only.  :)

Using fixed IP Address for HiMEdia Q10 Pro

The problem seems related to how Android translates mounting on NFS.

See Attachment

Hi There.

I'm trying to connect my Q10pro to my Synology NAS, but without Success.
I'm new to Kodi and to Hi Media, but i'm having problems to acess any contet on the NAS shares.

I've defined in Hi_media Player my NAS NFS Share but i see no content.

My shortcut in Hi-Media Player is defined like this :
server/volume1/share

NFS Permissions (synology) :

Client : *
Priviege : Read/Write
SQUASH: No Mapping
Enable Asyncronous : YES
Allow Connections from non-priv. Ports : YES

Thanks.

I have had this box for quite a while and I'm having the same issue.
This is a great box, but the only way I can play content from my NAS (Synology) is using the ES explorer app from android.
It's a shame that I cannot use kodi with the wrapper as kodi gives you ratings, film info, posters, .... and that's what you expect from a high end player.
I can see my movies using kodi, but when I try to play one of them using the wrapper, the screen just flashes and no movie is started.

I would like to get this fixed, but I don't even know here to start. I'm not an IT expert and certainly not in unix/linux or whatever and you shouldn't be to set-up a media player. I'm still convinced this is a good player, I'm only dissappointed I'm not able to use its full functionality.

Any help would be welcome

Try to remove space and use NASMEDIA or NAS_MEDIA
For Wrapper+Kodi rename Video1 to Film1

Himedia Media player:
Auto finds the share but sets it to  192.168.0.101 (correct)  and \Video1\NAS    which is incorrect (my path is \Video1\NAS MEDIA  ) .
There I get New Server Error.

same if I input the right IP and path myself.
Is there any log I can look at?
