The Samba Server is reporting incorrectly the size of the disk (1 TB for everything) and also the free space (small values).
If I write manually to it Samba Server will work as my SMB client then does not look at these parameters.
Programs that do automated disk handling do look at these values and report a "disk Full" or "general disk error".

Noted and reported to HiMedia.
Q10 4K3D has a similar problem. It's related to how the HDD is mounted in the Android file system. Any error message about lack of space can be overridden, but some apps won't allow this and it's an annoyance. Would be better obviously if correct storage size was reported.

Hi, any news on this ?
I'm accessing the samba share (internal 2Tb HDD inside Q10) from linux , and linux reports low disk space, but i have more than 1Tb left...
What can i do to fix this , because on my linux server, i have Sickrage anc couchpotato ... they are not able to copy files on the samba share.

This issue has been reported to HiMedia many times. We await a fix, no news.
If you have a file manager that allows you override the disk full message then the copy will proceed normally. e.g. Linux Mint Nemo:

I'm not familiar with the two apps you mention, but from a quick scan of settings it would seem that neither allow the disk full message to be overridden.
An alternative might be setting up FTP on the Q10 Pro and using this instead? I'm not sure if the apps in question support FTP?

I tried the ftp, but it's a pain in the ass. I couldn't get it working (many problems)... i don't want to change my whole config.
I need Samba share to work properly...
-
Hmmm , i disabled samba service in settings, and installed SambaDroid. With that, i can see the good size now in linux...
Let me test this furthermore.
-
Okay, SambaDroid is working ... but not for files with a size > 2Gb ... ha ha ha. So no go.
Trying Servers Ultimate.

All good with Servers Ultimate Pro.

All good with Servers Ultimate Pro.
Without Root or after rooting?
-
I was already rooted. Apparently the device needs to be rooted to use SMB Server Native.

Hi,
Has anyone resolved this problem?
-
I know this thread is kinda old, but isn't there a solution for the build-in samba server?
