This thread will be for latest info on Q5 Pro release date.

HiMedia told us today that stock will not be ready until late May. The delay is caused by the Q5 Pro having a complete redesign compared to Q5 4K3D. It's a much bigger job than with Q10 Pro where design is very similar to Q10 4K3D, so much existing work could be reused.

We are saying 26-MAY for despatch to customers, but it could be a few days either side of this. We won't start taking pre-orders until we have a reliable date, and not earlier than 3 weeks before that date.

Apologies to those waiting for Q5 Pro. We will keep you updated here and via the mailing list.

i think can be a good news, it's better wait for a new product more: efficient , quality and good termal dissipation.

Indeed. Will measure it when my Q10 arrives but this SOC seems to consume relatively more energy than most products today.
This based on the measurement included into the Chinese evaluations. To mention one is 5 W in standby which I hope is really not the case? Maybe Google translate worded it incorrectly? Other values ranged from 8 W to 15W with HDD playing HD movie.
