I've just purchased the Measy AWII. Plugged in to HDMI then USB connected phone to devices SSID run EZCast app, connects to device but I do not get prompted to add it to my home wifi like the instruction manual suggests. I believe on the to there should be a dongle picture plus more icons to show it can see the wifi but I only have the dongle image.
Any suggestions?

After you've connected to the dongle with EZCast app what do you see on the TV screen? If possible please post a photo.
You should first be prompted to add a wifi network. If this doesn't happen then you should see the main menu, a grid of icons in circles with labels. One of those icons (bottom right) should be settings. Select this using phone then 'Internet' to set up internet.
Once you have internet I suggest doing a firmware update. the EZCast firmware received regular updates and the firmware on our dongles is quite old. The latest firmware is excellent.

Ive attached a photo of the TV Screen.
When first connecting on the app there is a tutorial of connecting the phone to the dongle and then instruction to go to the settings and add to the wifi. When I select Settings on the iOS app nothing happens on the TV. I get the D-Pad, key and esc buttons on the phone but nothing happens.
Is there anyway of updating the dongle via a PC using the USB power cable?

Any ideas? I think I'll have to return it, maybe it's a faulty unit?

It's always been a product that's very fiddly to set up. Once it's working it's pretty good, but getting there..
I'm not an expert with the iOS version of EZCast, but if you have the D-pad buttons on the app then it indicates that there is a connection between app and A2WII. The firmware we ship with is pretty old, it could be a general problem with later versions of iOS.
The latest version firmware definitely works with all version of iOS so my suggest is to download the PC/Mac version of EZCast app and update A2WII firmware using that. Hopefully it will connect properly and let you update. See here: https://www.iezvu.com/os_download.php?l=en
If it doesn't work then email us for return.

I have tried using EZCast from a laptop and android device as well and the same thing happens. From the screenshots I've seen online I should see more icons in the top right of my TV which should show wifi but not connected. I think that maybe the antenna is faulty and can't see my WiFi. I'd really like to get this working so I would prefer a replacement rather than a refund. Are they sealed devices? Can you update the firmware on your stock before shipping.

The screenshot looks correct for the firmware version. The boot screen changed a bit with later firmwares.
General answer is yes, yes about replacement but please email us to arrange it. mail@futeko.com.

ok i gave this another shot, Found an old version of EZcast for Windows installed it on my laptop connected and can now get to the settings. I have added it to my home WiFi but when I try and upgrade it's says its up to date. If I upgrade from the pc software shortcut it says no internet access.
Local version is 12127 according to EZcasts facebook their latest firmware is 14818000
Any ideas on getting this up to date?

The dongle should find an update file when you select 'Upgrade'. This definitely works.
If it doesn't work for you we will take the A2WII back for refund/replacement. Or, alternatively, if you're feeling brave you could try this: https://www.iezvu.com/download_tool.php?l=en&u=0
Updating that way will install vanilla EZCast firmware with no Measy (A2WII manufacturer) elements. It should mean more regular updates.
Usually following the above steps would void the warranty, but in this case feel free to have a go. We'll take the A2WII back for refund/replacement whatever state it ends up in.
Sorry for the hassle.
