Update patch to enable TrueHD ATMOS support on Q5 and Q10 4K3D: http://www.mediafire.com/download/8vxqqm5ja9svvie/update.zip
It doesn't need a new firmware install, just go to SETTINGS - UPGRADE - LOCAL UPGRADE and select the update zip.
-
...That is great news!
Is this a "official" and stable patch from the manufacturer?
Kind Regards
-
Yes it is official. It has come to us direct from HiMedia.
It will be incorporated into the next firmware.
-
....cool!
Now it works.

Did you buy it from us? You shouldn't need to rename the file.

Hi,

I've received yesterday my player. Do it exactly as is described. File update.zip in root folder of memory card.
And my John_Wick.m2ts file which is extracted from the bluray started and I hear audio.
But my Transformers_-_Age_Of_Extinction_3D.iso (Transformers 4) didn't work.
I've also tried to extract the movie in single m2ts file. No success.
D:\>eac3to f:
1) 00000.mpls, 00000.m2ts, 2:45:07
- Chapters, 22 chapters
- h264/AVC (left eye), 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
- h264/MVC (right eye), 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
- TrueHD, English, multi-channel, 48kHz
D:\>eac3to f: 1)
M2TS, 2 video tracks, 1 audio track, 1 subtitle track, 2:45:07, 24p /1.001
1: Chapters, 22 chapters
2: h264/AVC (left eye), 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
3: h264/MVC (right eye), 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
4: TrueHD/AC3 (Atmos), English, 7.1 channels, 48kHz
(embedded: AC3, 5.1 channels, 640kbps, 48kHz, dialnorm: -27dB)
5: Subtitle (PGS), Bulgarian
I don't understand why it does not work?!?
?ventually file for playback is the same except the missing playlist

Hi again,
after two days and many attempts I have achieved the result.
1) Transformers_Age_Of_Extinction_3D.iso was converted to MKV with left eye and Atmos audio - works
2) Transformers_Age_Of_Extinction_3D.iso was converted to m2ts with left eye and Atmos audio - works
3) Transformers_Age_Of_Extinction_3D.iso was converted to Bluray 2D ISO with left eye and Atmos audio - works
and finally I've decided to make this:
4) Transformers_Age_Of_Extinction_3D.iso was converted to Bluray 3D ISO (i.e. another copy of the movie) - works
It was very strange. The remux from the original movie was made by the same software (tsMuxer 2.6.12) again of me.
I just decided to share.

Do you have 7.1 audio enabled in audio settings?
Settings - More - Sound.
HDMI output > RAW
HBR Degrade output > RAW 7.1
Also, 7.1 is HDMI only. Just in case you're trying it with S/PDIF. S/PDIF as a standard is 5.1 channel max.
