Title: Chrome problem when scrolling
Post by: TimoMF on February 15, 2016, 08:48:27 PM
My father has a TV with only 720p resolution.
When he opens Chrome can not scroll the websits.

I have it in my H8 sometimes tested at 720p and then there after a restart with me the problem. When I put the resolution up again it goes again.

How can I help because my father? The resolution I can not make up.

Greeting Timo

Since apparently no one has a solution, I would ask the problem at HiMedia forward.

I don't understand the problem. Can you clarify it?

Sorry my english is not so good.

I mean if the resolution is 720p is not running Chrome browser. If you scroll a page in Chrome browser it does not scroll.

This has put my father in his H8 Octa frst and I can understand it on my when I made the resolution to 720p. It is therefore reproducible.

From some testing Chrome browser is a bit erratic with scrolling at all resolutions. Not sure why.

An alternative browser like Firefox does not have this problem, so installing Firefox would be a solution.

Longer term, Chrome will be fixed either by Google (I think it's more a Chrome problem that anything) or by HiMedia if possible in future firmware.

To Browse internet I normally use a mouse (Logitech m280 extended range 25m) and I can scroll the pages normally using the scrolling wheel; also if you hold the left button and go up or down with the mouse, you can perfectly scroll up and down the pages. Using Himedia remote is a real pain, do not worth the trouble, mouse is the way to go when browsing internet  pages or using apps like Netflix or PopcornTime

The problem with the resolution 720p appears with a mouse and also with an Airmouse.
However, just only with the resolution 720p in the Chrome browser.
