Hello everyone. Recently I've recieved a Himedia Q10 pro for free. It has been great so far, until I got around to trying to run Disney+ on it. No matter what I try, the Disney+ app crashes as soon as I hit either the Signup or the Login button. I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried resetting cache and app data, which didn't help. My home network was restarted as well but to no avail. So here I am.
My Q10 Pro is on Android 7 btw, which is the best it can do I believe. I'm kinda wondering if a software update to the latest version of the Original OS will help.
Any help appreciated!

This box is not really meant for using streaming apps as much as for local media playback. Only way to use them is to install Kodi and run the addon app from inside it as far as I know.

but is there any way to make the app work? I got it in hopes of running disney+ on it and saving to the hard drive which I've put in the box. I feel like the thing is a software issue, so I would really like to get it resolved.

I wasnt able to get it to work but I havent tried in years. I was able to get it working in Kodi no problem, just not as an app direct from the OS.

I see, well, how to install kodi on this thing? I saw on box images that it's supposed to come with it but I can't find it on my box.

Just find the apk using the HiMedia's file browser and press OK on the remote.
Once you have Kodi installed you'll have to install the appropriate add-on, in this case Disney. See here: https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-ons
