Title: New One? Help :)
Post by: nandish on July 28, 2024, 06:34:09 PM
Time flies. My still-functional Himedia Q10 Pro player is already old. It doesn't play new multimedia file formats well. It's time to replace it with a new one. Which player do you recommend as a successor to the Q10 Pro? Definitely with a 3.5-inch SATA drive bay. It gives as good an image as the Q10 Pro and at a reasonable price.

The new Dune and Zidoo players have excellent picture quality, at least equivalent to Q10 Pro, and will play all the latest formats. They also have much better media management software than HiMedia.

The closest equivalents to Q10 Pro would be Zidoo Z30 Pro  (https://www.futeko.com/products/MP142.php) and Dune Solo 8K (https://www.futeko.com/products/MP135.php).

Thank you for your help. What would be the current models you recommend to replace a Q5 Pro as I don't need the internal drive. Thanks again for your recommendations.

The only box we sell without an internal HDD bay is Z9X 8K (or the previous generation Z9X Pro).

Thank you very much. Is there a Box with full Google, Netflix 4k, support, etc?

Not a media player. A lot of the streaming services block access to devices like media players which are primarily used for playing locally stored content. The best option if you need streaming services is media player + a TV with streaming built in or something designed for streaming like Fire Stick or Roku.
