Post by: futeko.com on January 15, 2016, 09:25:41 AM
Firmware

Firmware updates on MiniMX (Android and OpenELEC) are delivered direct to the box automatically via the internet, so  we are not hosting the firmware on our servers.

This lists firmwares and give links for info+downloads.

OpenELEC

OpenELEC Firmware Installation Instructions

An update using this method will wipe everything on the box and restore to factory condition.

1. Extract the contents of the firmware archive (using an unzip app like 7zip, Winzip etc) to the root of a USB pen drive. (the USB pen drive should contain three files called 'recovery.img', 'OpenELEC......zip', factory_update_param.aml').
2. Insert the USB pen drive into any USB port of the MiniMX.
3. With the MiniMX power cable removed, use a paper clip or pen to press and hold the the pinhole restore button on the bottom of the MiniMX (on the base in one corner).
4. While keeping the restore button pressed, insert the power cable into the MiniMX.
5. Release the restore button after ~ 5 seconds.
6. The MiniMX will boot to an Android droid logo and proceed to upgrade the firmware.
7. The box will auto-reboot when finished.

FAQ

* Drive mount location? All apps use Android file structure. All directories and locations are subdirectories of root, which is symbolised as /. External drives are located at /mnt.

* Drive mount location in Kodi? Root file system - /mnt.

* How to make Kodi launch on startup? There are several free apps in Play Store designed to do this. We recommend Autostart and Stay!: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atasoglou.autostartandstay&hl=en_GB

Latest LibreELEC firmware is here: http://www.amlinux.ru/image/905/6.95.3.2/OpenELEC-Amlogic.aarch64-MiniMX-6.95.3.2.zip

You don't need recovery.img. It will install from micro-SD without it.
