Title: Dune Media Player - Stock Levels
Post by: UKAussieP on May 23, 2022, 01:34:06 PM
Hello there

I am looking into replacing my Mede8er media player and have been looking at the Dune HD Max Vision 4K, but it seems this model and many other models of the Dune media players are out of stock.  Is there a specific reason why?

Any idea's if there are plans for more stock or if there are indeed another newer model coming out soon?

Cheers

Strange enough this is common with Dune. I am getting the impression they build to order for distributers with no/hardly stock themselves.

Thanks for the quick reply.

It seems Dune don't even have any stock of the Max Vision 4K themselves :)

prob a very neiche market, i wouldnt put in a pro/top line product and not a toy, yet its price is fairy steep, considering how rough around the edges the product is as in i wouldnt call it a finished product more like beta, so dune prob dont want to have 10s of thousands of them in a warehouse in china but it gets the job done fairly well with its odd bugs and very behind the times gui taking into the fact other companys have had very pritty and very stable and functional gui for years

As far as I can see and I have seen plenty of media players the Dune FW is the most stable I have ever found. They also do the best support of previous generation of players I have ever seen as they actually synched support/updates for the last 3 generations which may be called unique.

Yes they are very often out of sales which policy I don't really understand. How the war influences all this is not known by me as I know that Russia is their biggest sales area for Dune. I see only the baby Dune model now on sales here on Futeko which may be related?

Any comment on this by Futeko? Only the baby Dune on offer? I do like the Pro a lot more honestly.

The Max Vision can be bought off Amazon Germany and is now in stock from Dune Hong Kong themselves. Being based in the UK I’d much rather by from a UK supplier so I too ask Futeko whether you are still willing to sell this, PSU issues not withstanding?

At the moment we are not planning on restocking any Dune payers.

I wonder why the Dune models are not included in sales anymore. The Pro, Max and Ultra offer great value for money also compared with increasing expensive Zidoo Neo models.
