I've been torn between the Dune Pro Vision 4K and the Zappiti Neo
What I like about the Zappiti:
You can add your own categories ie Kids 3D, Kids 2D
Easy to use.
What I don't like:
You have to add the category to movies on a one-by-one basis: no batch/multi-select option (asked for many times but never delivered)
The movie wall takes time to update the posters when scrolling across pages - even with their server installed on a NAS!
You have to have an internet connection to view your movies (otherwise you have to use offline mode).
The Neo I'm suspecting is pretty much locked down (I have a Zappiti mini 4K HDR which is) and so installing other apps is going to be pretty hit and miss)
How good is the Dune New GUI looking compared to the Zappiti? Does anyone Have experience of both?
Literally I want to be able to add additional menu/categories (as above) - is this likely to be added in the future?
From the noises here and on other forums the New GUI is not very far behind Zappiti Video now and a lot cheaper.
Used to own the Dune H1 - was an amazing player (especially when used with YaDIS) - solid playback of all formats (at that time).
Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks

Well,
Replying to my own post - bought the Dune-HD Pro Vision 4k Solo.
Have to say I really like it and the New GUI is looking very good. Hopefully Dune continue to improve it as I can see it being better than Zappiti Video.
The load time of the movie wall posters blows Zappiti away - Dune is so much faster.
Also, when the Dune is put in standby mode it comes back to the movie wall in a few seconds - not sure about the new Zappiti boxes - but the older ones have to go through the whole startup procedure that take approx 60+ seconds.
