Title: control AVR voulume with remote ??

all my other remotes sheild tv , lg tv , sky tv , will turn my AVR volume up or down, the dune hd remote wont ?? it just turns a volume bar on the dune UI and since i have bitstream audio this does nothing, why won the dune remote control my AVR audio ????
