Title: Choosing a PSU upgrade for the Z9X
Post by: thesnodger on November 10, 2021, 01:20:50 PM
Hi there,

I've been looking around for a better PSU to use with the Z9X. Would the linear PSU in the attached (link https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003226912342.html (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003226912342.html)) be a suitable upgrade? I dont plan to use any external disks, all my files are on NAS. I believe I would need to specify the 12v model with the 2.1mm power output cable?

Thanks

Will do fine for the player itself without using the SATA port.

My practical experience is that you most likely wont notice the swap.

Any performance benefits would be a bonus, I'm thinking more in terms of reliability and longevity.

It has a very similar build just a lot bigger.

As I re-started using a 5-slot USB Docking Station do actually not use it currently.
Maybe I should as I moved my Neo X to the top of my rack so there is space for it again?
