I have several Blueray 3D rips to MKV that I created using MakeMKV. My old HD900B could play these by selecting either 3D HSBS or OU menu option. The player would revert to frame packed mode and I could play the movie. Unfortunately this doesn't appear to be the case with the Q10. It simply tries to merge left and right halves of the frame. It'll play the file in 2D mode. Does anyone know of a way around this limitation?

himdia m3/q5/q10 support Blueray 3D rips only with ISO, MKV 3d not work .

Wish they'd add 3D MVC MKV support as the MVC decoder & frame-packed renderer are already both present in the hardware. Futeko, we should ask HiMedia for this! :)

Thanks for the comments guys. How about it Futeko, can you ask them please?

Been requested already. Futeko, any word on that list of wish-list items we sent? :)

I'll ask again later this week when Himedia are back to normal after CES. Half the sales/support staff have been (and still are) at Las Vegas CES. Difficult getting info at the moment.
I don't expect 3D frame packed MKV support to be added though. I expect it to stay as ISO only.

I noticed a bug that you should report to the tech guys. I have a TV HD wich original format is 720p ( can do also some 1080p stuff but it's not that good. The Q10 4K3D is set to 720p resolution. When i try to play 720p content from the wrapper it change resolution it goes to 1080p24 when i try switching resolution from the Box remote controller i get "720p Frame packing" and can't play content to 720p24. I tried on my main tv wich is a full HD and got the exact same problem. It doesn't play file at 720p when the box is set to 720p resolution.
Thanks!
