				Hello,
I have since 4 or 5 years the Q5 Pro Mediaplayer and even though it is limited in certain ways it still delivers in terms of it's core purpose: Playing videos
But since owning a 77 inch OLED I am wondering if the hardware is still up to date in terms of video quality.
So is there any new hardware or chips which are surperior regarding the video quality?

If set properly for an UHD TV (colorspace/bitdepth) and is only for HDR/SDR videos, HiMedia is more than fine. But there are otherwise more bug free solutions, than can beam up to HDR10+. Look up for s905X3 Amlogic Boxes with CoreElec support.

The image quality on S905X3 boxes is noticeable inferior to both HiMedia Q5/Q10 Pro (HiSilicon Hi3798C V200 chipset) and the new Zidoo/Dune boxes with Realtek 1619DR. I like S905 as a cheap chipset with a lot of third party support, but it's not great for home theatre.

Zidoo with Realtek 1619DR chip deliver better video quality than Himedia Hi3798CV200 ?

Check out the detailed review by @Nice Monkey on this forum.  He's been a long time Q10Pro user and now has a Dune HD:  https://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=5098.0
