Hi all,
I have just bought a WD 3TB Red hard drive and have formatted it accordingly (using NTFS & GPT), however my Q10 doesn't seem to recognise it.
I have read some of the threads on here, so I know it should be under MNT/SDA/SDA1 however there is no SDA option in MNT at all. The drive works ok on my PC as I have copied a test video there. I can also hear/feel the HDD spinning up when in the Q10. I have rebooted the device several times, as well as updating the firmware to the one released today but nothing seems to work.
Any help/ideas would be gratefully appreciated!

Does the drive show up in the Media Center app or is it just Kodi where you can't see it?

Also, is the drive fully pushed into the SATA connector? Might seem a simple thing but it's something that's been the cause of similar problems in the past with Q10 (and 900B which used same mechanism).

Hi,
It is not showing in media centre or kodi (or settings/storage)
I have removed and reinstalled the hdd several times, making sure the connector is fully pushed each time, but with no success.

Wich OS have you used to format the HDD?
MIne is a Toshiba 4TB formatted in Win7 as GUID (NTFS) and it worked like a charm.
Maybe try formatting the HDD again.

I am using Win10. Have tried formatting twice but no joy. I have a 2tb hdd in my pc which I might try swapping out to see if that works - if it doesn't then I can only presume it's a problem with the box so I'll probably return it for something else.
