Title: Q10 pro 2.1.4 firmware no Play store
Post by: nortonuser on January 06, 2021, 09:17:34 AM
Wondering if someone can help me please as my new HiMedia Q10 Pro has no play store installed and I cannot get a version  installed without getting a message .

This version of the app is not compatible with your device.
To fix this problem,go to Settings and uninstall updates for the Google Play Store app,

Which is not an option shown.
Tried Versions 23.0.11 ,23.1.30 and a few in between.

Make sure you have the international Q10 Pro:

If you do update to 2.1.7 and install the software package:

Thanks for your swift reply now .

It is the European version

I now have another problem as the box will have a display for 4 seconds then black screen for 10 seconds then display for 4 seconds and so on using both HDMI an AV output and using the same cables/tv PSU etc as my other Q10 which works OK.
Any suggestions as it may be a melon and I may have to return it as I have 30 days to do so..?

It could be something related to the CEC or HDMI auto adaptation. Which firmware do you have in the Q10 that's ok?
Install the firmware with the update button method, it should fix any software related issues.

Thanks for your reply.
The firmware on the box is 2.1.4 but as explained with the display stopping and starting it is not OK.
So could I just hold the reset button and power on to reset the existing 2.1.4 firmware please.

FW probably is HMD-2.1.4 2019-09-10.150132.
For Google Store install additional software package for OFW v2.1.7 with paperclip will work on that FW too.

Force factory reset with paperclip without have connected a USB stick or from Setting/Advance/Backup & reset/Factory data reset/Reset device.
If display is 4K use TV mode remote button to switch video output resolution maybe will get stable image.
Try control box with Hicontrol from a other Android table/phone.

LE: HMD-2.1.4 2019-09-11.161658 (https://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=4775.0) include Google store and technically same with HMD-2.1.4 2019-09-10.150132.
Probably you have a reason why not want try upgrade to OFW v2.1.7 or other version.

Many thanks  pcristi I shall try later today.
So as I understand past 2.1.4 FW you can switch any thing through to v2.1.7 and go Back again if you wish correct

The Ethernet lights  do not flash but I have the same problem over wifi (  Not showing in up my network )
