Hello everybody
I have just got my Q10 Pro recently.
I managed to root it via lan using the method post in this forum.
Does anyone know how i can install a custom recovery?

As I know are not custom recovery for HiMedia(HiSlicon) box.
What did you think will get using custom recovery?

Well, i am looking to be able to perform backups and restores for the whole system like i use to do in my mobile..

Hi @pcristi
I guess i made the most foolish mistake ever: i tried to install a custom recovery, it failed. But then i realized that i cannot reboot into recovery or perform a factory reset any more. After several attempts to install a firmware, the device is bricked. It hangs on the HiMedia logo and reboots every 2 minutes.
Are there any way to reflash the stock recovery - maybe via adb?
Could you please help on this?
Thanks

If you rely successfully alter recovery then try:
Extract bootargs.img, fastboot.img, recovery.img from update.zip
Rename:
- bootargs.img -> bootargs.bin
- fastboot.img -> fastboot.bin
- recovery.img == recovery.img
- update.zip == update.zip
- Follow process described here
