Hello,
I am an absolute newbie, so please bear with me. I have just aquired the HiMedia Q10 Pro and am quite happy with it. I have already installed some useful apps, but I will mainly use Kodi to play films and videos from my NAS. Works like a charm!
I have recently come across the term "Wrapper" and after having read about it a bit more I understand that it is better to use this wrapper rather than the built-in Kodi player. My problem is: I do not have an app called Wrapper on my system! As far as I can see, it is supposed to be there, but it just isn't. Is there any way that I can install it manually or do I need to go back to factory settings, which would be a real drag? Many thanks for your help!

Welcome.
Read about "Wrapper" in first post of Q5/Q10 Pro FAQ (https://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1517.0)section Kodi - Wrapper (playercorefactory.xml)/Where can I download the wrapper app.

Dear pchristi,
Many thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I have managed to install the Wrapper App (Wrapper-1.0.3_HMD_0411.apk) and have set it as the preferred media player. No error message on the way, so I suppose installation went as it should. However, when I start Kodi and want to test whether it is really the Wrapper that is now being used and not the built-in Kodi player, I do not get the 'play using..' option with 'Wrapper' as an option when I press "Menu" on my remote control while playing a video. Pressing this button just does not do anything. What am I doing wrong? Thanks again!
