Title: Few questions
Post by: ArieS on December 26, 2015, 07:40:43 PM
Hello, I'm considering getting a Q5 but I have a couple of questions.
I'm using the app iRule to control all my devices. Can you use JSON commands to control the Q5?
i.e: Play: jsonrpc?request=%7B%22jsonrpc%22%3A%222.0%22%2C%22method%22%3A%22Player.PlayPause%22%2C%22params%22%3A%7B%22playerid%22%3A1%7D%2C%22id%22%3A1%7D

Another question, can you use a WOL command to either wake up the Q5 from sleep or to turn it ON from a OFF state?

Thanks in advance!

Q5 not have sleep  mode , onky on/off.

You have hicontrol app smartphone/tablet app for q5  very good remote/mirror controller, you not need other app.

Well, that's debatable  ;)
I would rather not have to switch between apps to control Q5/sound on Receiver...

Another quick question... My movies are on a NAS, how do I access them with the Q5? Thru smb?

Thanks looun!

Thanks for the videos however this option would not work for me as I use an iPad Mini.

So I'm really back to square one which is, does this box accept JSON commands...?
