Title: Hard drive won't idle and keeps running even when not in use.

Not sure what is going on with my hard drive or the box, but over the past few weeks I have noticed that even when not accessing the drive or even using the box and it is just at the main menu with no apps or Kodi running, the hard drive is constantly being accessed and making those loud noises it makes when being used.

Why is the hard drive even running when the box is idle?  In the past it never made any noises nor was the hard drive spinning when at the main screen.

have you installed any apps of file managers lately that may keep accessing the drive?  I'd suggest uninstalling all non-included apps and work from there (as this is not normal at all).
