Title: Kodi subtitles.org addon
Post by: pempek40 on March 28, 2020, 10:57:06 PM
The Kodi subtitles.org addon has  been blocked  currently by my internet provider.
How  to edit  the  addon so I can  edit  the  subtitlse.org  addon  url.

Thanks

Try https://www.opensubtitles.org/ instead?
That should be the default on Kodi anyway???

P.S. I don't think you are being blocked? I just tried to access that site and got:
"Failed to load page content" and "This Domain Name Is Parked"
So it's gone!

Maelor, thanks. I just realized opensubtitles.org  is  down.
I installed podnapisi.net addon and it works.

Stay home , stay watching, and stay healthy.

opensubtitles.org is working. You do need to register and have a username and password to download the subtitles with the add-on.

I have tried to register for a couple of times by "Open subtitles" but it doesn't work anymore. They mentioned explicit, not for users in Thailand anymore. So fortunately I live in Thailand and there is no way to support financially their site.
Furthermore I have tried the "podnapisi.net" according "Pempek40", but that doesn't work either. Are there any other options? Maybe some forum members were lucky with another subtitle addon........

I only buy DVDs which are in English or have built-in English subtitles. So I'm no expert on this!

Try first to access the opensubtitle.org website on a computer (not the HiMedia box!)
I just visited https://opensubtitle.org on my desktop.
(It was definitely down when I checked last week, but is working now)

You can also try out the beta site at https://www.opensubtitles.com/en

I did NOT need to register.
I did NOT need an account.
I did NOT add any extensions to my browser.
I just picked on some movies at random and downloaded the subtitle files for them.
No problems  8) !

Then just copy the srt files into the same folder as the movie.

Just went to https://www.podnapisi.net/

That works also 8)  !
