Post by: pmjobe on December 19, 2015, 11:57:48 PM
Anyone have any luck playing videos that are H265 at all.......None play for me, have tried a bunch, keep getting ErrorCode: 246  >:(
That was a big thing with these saying that they support files encoded with H265!!

No problems at all with my h265 movies, encoded with Handbrake... They play well from my network or local disk with Kodi or Himedia MediaPlayer

I have exact same problem with the original poster.  I have taken a few H265 HEVC films and not one will work, always the error 246 or not video in Kodi.

I managed to get it to play by disabling all hardware acceleration in a new version of Kodi, but that messes up DTS/AC3 passthrough and it was horrendously jerky as I don't think the player can handle it without hardward acceleration.

I use FW 1.0.9 with the original Kodi 15.1, which comes with the FW

Can you post the mediainfo report (like above) for a file that doesn't play?
