Title: ext4 on 256GB USB stick
Post by: laager on November 26, 2019, 03:40:25 PM
Having trouble getting the Q10 to play ball here. USB stick is formatted ext4 by Ubuntu system. Works fine there.

Stick it in the Q10 and sees the drive and folder structure but will not write to it. Is there some setting I've missed for the Q10 with ext4? I need ext4 on it due to a Kodi backup limitation.

Running latest custom firmware.

Try formatting as EXT3.

For USB sticks EXT2 and exFAT are the real alternatives.

EXT3 and EXT4 are designed for HDD. Forget EXT3 as EXT4 simply is newer/better.

Hmmm. Ubuntu 19.04 is only giving me the ext4 option (besides exFAT). I'll see if it can offer me a lower ext version for it.
