Title: Can't even launch KODI now
Post by: Ellah on August 24, 2019, 04:09:23 PM
HI,

After so many problems with playing audio files (still not able to play any for long, music app just crashing after 1-2 minutes) I was thinking to check this via KODI and now unable to run it as well... WHat a shitty player it now is...

I tried to uninstall and instal KODI again from google store and still unable to launch it, getting starting screen with "waiting for external storage" info..

Does anyone had the same issue???

Try factory reset, if that fails install firmware with paper clip method.

Your problems are not typical of Q10 Pro. Something is fundamentally wrong.

I suggest installing latest firmware using the method given in the firmware thread.

THis is something that I have already done which caused me such problem!

Installed FW2.1.4 using your paper clip method and since then I am unable to launch KODI even after fresh install and I am unable to play music files (and not only me as described on this forum) using your built in media player (the app is crashing after a minute or 2).

What other steps you can propose?

Reinstall the firmware using the paper clip method in this order:
2.03->2.04->2.14
Allow the box the completely boot after each install

but once I have 2.1.4 now, is it possible to downgrade?

Yes

The solution this issue was incorrect default storage equipment - once set to sda1, I am able to launch KODI again.
