Title: Isengard 15.2 library update
Post by: heusden99 on December 09, 2015, 03:17:06 PM
After the latest upgrade from futeko to Isengard 15.2 (latest stable version, NOT the RC2) on my Q10 Quod 4K, I am unable to update my library. Before everything worked fine. I have even executed a total factory reset with the official KitKat 4.4.2 and Kodi from futeko and strated from scratch.

After selecting the source, I can see all the subdirs and the files in them. After selecting the file, it will run perfectly. I can update the poster and fanart of an individual file by selecting movie information and select a poster and fanart. It will then be remembered. Now  I want Kodi to it for me for all other 3,200 movies.
In video type Movies: Recursively is selected. I have refreshed also the library information and tried again.
After selecting update library Isengard crashes and I have to start Isengard again.

I assume it has to do with some kind of setting. Help please.

Sounds like the library has become corrupted somehow during the update.

If you've then done a factory reset I would suggest doing a firmware reinstall to get everything back to shipping state. A factory reset loses some Himedia apps. So here first: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=391.0

That will wipe everything and start from scratch, so solving the problem in a brutal but effective way.

If you don't want to do the firmware reinstall you could try deleting your Kodi library. There are several ways to do this.

The most user-friendly is this: http://kodi.wiki/view/Updating_or_removing_videos#Removing_videos

The other way is to install ES File Explorer from Play Store and change settings-display so you can view hidden files. Navigate to /sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/Database and deleted all the *.db files. This will completely remove your library database so next time you start Kodi you can start from scratch.

Thank you for the clear and extensive answer to my problem. However, none of your suggestions worked, because there was nothing wrong with the Q10 or Kodi.
Somehow the SMB level on my Synology NAS was changed to level SMB3 which is a high(er) security level. I reduced it to SMB2 and everytjing is working properly now.

Kind regards and happy holidays.
