Hi
I'm trying to set up my new Venz V3 and the last step is installing the MediaPortal PVR addon for Kodi. I believe this is in the OpenElec repository.
Unfortunately when I try and access the repo to install the addon, nothing happens when I select it. In the logs I see "Error getting addons://repository.openelec.tv". So it doesn't seem to be installed correctly.
Any idea how I can get this working? Without the addon I won't be able to watch live TV on the box which is basically a deal-breaker.

I am being told this may be because the build of OpenElec on the box is not an official one. Comments?
Full release info from the box is:

It's not an 'official' build of OpenELEC. Officially OpenELEC only support one Android brand, Wetek, from which they profit financially.
In most cases this won't be a problem though, you can still access Kodi repo and other repos.
The problem here appears to be that MediaPortal is only available in OpenELEC repo. I have reported this to Venz and am waiting for a reply from them. Alternatively, I am looking for a way to install mediaportal outside of openelec repo.
I've replied to your email. If you want to return then no problem.
