Try some alternate Music Players: HibyMusic, USB Audio Player Pro, Neutron Music Player, Onlyo HF Player, Poweramp, etc...
Most of them need a mouse/airmouse or the Hicontroll app from phone to operate them properly.

OK but this is workaround, not fixing the problem...
Has anyone got the same issue and how to fix it properly?

You're expecting the stock HiMedai Music player to be any better than these well-tried, widely used apps? In what?

I bought the Himedia Q10Pro by Kodi and its ability to play any sound medium with the highest quality and of course for its graphic environment while listening to music.
Since version 2.1.1 I have observed that there are problems with the audio player, especially with 2.1.4, in many cases it is not possible to play audio, sometimes if I leave Kodi, I do it from a different player and return to Kodi then it works; on most times I only get to play one song and I have to use the remote control to play the next; sometimes when you try to play the first song on a directory you can see Kodi from the first to the last in some milliseconds without any kind of sound.
The solution is not to change the player, that's the easiest way, it's about finding how to fix a problem with Kodi or with Q10Pro.
Something has changed since version 2.1.1, perhaps an incorrect driver, a plugin that has not been loaded correctly, something happens and that is not solved by changing the player.

And totally agree with you, I have the same feeling - I bought this to play any music file in high quality and since some time it is useless for me because of developers dirty work.
