Title: External USB DVD

Hi All,

I have an external USB DVD and my HiMedia Q5 doesn't recognize it.
I have tried to switch on the USB DVD before and after HiMedia but without any luck.
My old player based on RTD1185 works without any problem with the same DVD box.
Is there any additional settings to be adjusted on HiMedia?

Sorry but external DVD drives are not supported on the Q5 or Q10.

You mean external USB DVD is not supported ?
Can I use DVD connected to SATA port ?

To clarify, neither USB or SATA external DVD drives are supported by Q5 or Q10.

Sounds a  little bit disappointing but I hope there will be some support for optical drives in the future. :)
