Title: Internal HDD size for Q10 Pro
Post by: laager on May 01, 2019, 06:17:44 PM
I was not sure where to post but I can confirm that a 14 terabyte (14TB) Seagate Ironwolf ST14000VN0008 runs fine in the Q10 Pro. GPT. NTFS. Initially formatted by a Windows 10 Pro box with the drive in an ORICO 3569S3 external enclosure (claimed to only support 10TB but where it also ran perfectly).

Have not tested formatting it from scratch within the Q10 Pro and have no intention of doing so.

Saying so, have anyone yet tested with the latest firmware if deleting files form the HDD's attached to the Box working now or it still juts does a "ghost" deletion where the disk space stills occupied?

This bug is the main reason I still didn't bought an internal HDD to use withing the Q10 Pro.

Does it also work when deleting files through network (like from a Win PC) or a mobil app (like a torrent interface) or only directly from the Box?

Did you check when the disk was full with more than 6 tB of data?

Still working.

Read on SAMBA is around 110MB/s (GB Ethernet limit). Write varies from 25-85MB/s on SAMBA. PCChristi firmware.

Tx out as a slave drive hits 260MB/s, dropping to around 120MB/s for outer disc. Rx tops out around 245MB/s inner and 120MB/s outer.

I have no luck with my HGST HUH721010ALN600 10TB.  :(

Latest custom 2.1.4 firmware.
Create a new GTP partition and quick format it in NTFS using USB connection to PC.

Plug in internal SATA and also USB connection enclosure but still no luck.

HUH721010ALN600 is 4k Native, will not recognize on HiSilicon Android 7 box(HiMedia Q10Pro/Egreat A10/A11/Dinobot U5PVR/etc.).
Always try HDD with 512 Emulation similar to HUH721010ALE600.
