Hi,
I have had my Q10 for just over a year and just yesterday it started to experience a major problem. Firstly it could not see the internal SATA drive, and then after a while it started to constantly re-boot. Once re-booting it does not stay running for more than a minute or two (at most) before re-booting, often it does not finish loading before it re-boots again. Even with all external devices and the SATA drive disconnected, the same thing happens.
I have tried reseting the device using the inset button on the back, but to no avail.
Can anyone provide direction?
Thank you
Lee

The most likely source of your problem, would be the power supply. It does seem to be the achilles heel with this unit.
There have been many reports of failures.

Do you mean the external power adaptor or the internal power supply circuitry?

Yes, it is the external power supply that many have had to replace. So far, I have been lucky, but I do not leave mine on all the time, only when I am using it.
If you do a search on this site, you will find some hints on what sort of replacement to go for. It may be better to go for a slightly higher amp output if you are connecting hard disk drives.

Bear in mind, there is no guarantee that it is the Power supply, I am just going for the most likely course, based on your symptoms.

I have changed out the power adaptor and the unit seems to be working well at the moment.

Yes, faulty power pack does this. I've replaced my stock 2A with a new 2.5A plug pack and it has been fine ever since.
Constant daily use since 2016. Rest of the unit is still fine.
It was simple to test (once I worked out the possible source of rebooting) by using a lower amperage power pack from an external Seagate Drive unit.
Even with an internal drive fitted, it was enough power to prove what was causing the fault.
