Title: Himedia Q10 Pro. Spdif output, capable off 24Bit/96Khz/192Khz
Post by: Scorp76 on February 24, 2019, 05:45:21 PM
Hi folks,

I got an Q10 from my father, very happy with it.Funny thing is, my father had alot off HD music(played through Spdif).Sounded great on his amps, with offcourse the Q10.It played 24Bit, because the amp reacted on that. But now i have the Q10, latest firmware, is see the amp switching, but 48Khz...Really..I understand the android limit in this story. But i thought with use off the wrapper, this must be possible...Well my Harman Kardon says 48 and thats it..No i have no HDMI on this amp.

But, i can buy an Q10 Pro from a neighbour, i only don't understand what is going on with that.Read the whole forum, saw a few topics about spdif, but it was a little bit unclear what the q10 pro spits out through Spdif.Funny to see people talking about the android limitation, but uhm the Q10 pro has another audio layer and is running android 7....I have a lot off music in 24 Bit by 96KHZ and 192KHZ.I now the difference in RAW and LPCM, but is it working or not with the Q10 Pro.
I use it everyday for music, so its a small thing next to newer Kodi and faster box...But i thought this works out off the ''Box''...Or not?

Thanks!

Erik

What player software are you using?  The in-built MediaCenter or something else?  Your 48Khz limitation could perhaps be software related?

Using HDMI, it certainly passes DTS 24/96 with no issues (and also lossless TrueHD and DTS-HD MA) to my Yamaha AVR and has no problems with "Pure Audio Blu-ray" rips being passed through.

I don't use SPDIF due to its audio limitations but perhaps others here may comment.
