WILL NOT INSTALL FOR ME !
Clean install CFW 2.1.1
Copied update_patched_boot_Magisk_v18.0_Q10Pro_v2.1.1_[1.0].zip to USB renamed to update.zip and installed using local upgrade
Installed Magisk manager and it tells me Magisk is not installed, The only option it gives me to install is to patch boot image file
UPDATE:
Apparently the Magisk update.zip cannot be installed using the USB 3.0 port, Works fine on the 2.0 ports, All is well seems to have installed just fine now.

Installed and working here.
Thank you.

If you have installed Magisk I suggest you try YouTube Vanced works very well....
In Magisk Manager click on downloads and search for Youtube, Find youtube vanced, I am using the black themed version, Click on download and you will be prompted to install and reboot.
FEATURES:
Block all ads (togglable)
Background Playback
Force VP9 (or HDR) or vice versa
Override Maximal Resolution
Pinch to Zoom (for all devices)
Casting Togglable (can be forced off)
Toggle Themes (Black, Dark, White)
PiP - Picture in Picture mode (Oreo only)
Auto Repeat Feature
Preferred Speed and Resolution
Remember to uninstall YouTube updates and disable auto update option found in Play Store. If you don't do this, updated app will replace the Vanced app automatically and you will not see any new features.

I updated without any issues at all !

And what do I do with the Super SU app which is already on my box?
-
If you are already rooted with SuperSU you should perform a Dirty upgrade of whatever firmware you are currently using before you install Magisk

So does HDR with YT really work this way?
What if I simply install YT Vanced Non-Root version (https://www.xda-developers.com/youtube-vanced-apk/), will I get HDR? (Tho' I don't really think so, but at least worth to ask...)
-
Is it only for FW 2.11, will it not work in 2.08?

Maybe work with FW start with v2.0.4, but I didn't test it.
Make backup of sensitive data and be prepared to do restore with paper clip if box is not boot.

Not working.
-
And any other solution or app known yet to get YT HDR working? I know it's a Google Inc. restriction and it only works officially on a small branch of devices, but maybe there's some workaround?

The latest versions of the Xfinity Stream app is no longer working with this method, However you can use this modded version found in this Thread.
Do not Upgrade your FW to the Latest 2.1.4, They have not updated Magisk for it yet !

I wouldn't recommend it until Pcristi weighs in on the subject, I tried it and had serious issues, The last version was for the 2.1.1 Kernel

pcristi any chance we can get an update for Magisk 20 and Magisk manager 7.3.5
Can it safely be updated or do you need to issue a new update first ?
-
I have updated and had no problems so far.
-
Ok great thanks I have updated too seems to be working fine.
-
pcristi, I was wondering is there any way you can get Magisk set up for the 2.1.5 ATV FW ?
Would love it if you could need root to get a few apps working for my Father.
-
@kodiloaded
I don't see why Magisk_v19.3_Q(...)_v2.1.4 will not work on ATV v2.1.5.
After install of Magisk v19.3 direct update to Magisk v20.3 expected to be fine too.
