Yes H8 has firmware installed from the beginning. And every H8 we've sold has had firmware flashed manually by us so they have been seen working before they leave us.
What exactly is the LED on the front doing? Colour?
If it's flashing between blue and red then this indicates a problem. LED should be red when power connected and in standby and blue when power connected and on.
If LED is flashing please first try turning the box on with reset button pressed (small hole on back next to power, push it in with biro or pin). This should reset the box? Does the box now boot?

Hi
The led is blue when turned on and red turned off, so no funny/changing led lights, the box react on the remote but from there nothing happens.
I have downloaded the last firmware (the one that came after my order/dispatch where made so can make a full firmware install if you want me to do that :-)
I will try the reset button straight away.
You also got a message from me on email :)

If the power LED was working correctly from the start then I suspect the problem was to do with the box not connecting properly via HDMI to your TV.
So the box was working but you were seeing nothing on the TV.
If you set the box to your preferred resolution / refresh setting in Settings - Display then things should be OK in future.

Today I connected the H8 to my own tv and had to make the reset again, I expected that since it with higher resolution then the 720p Panasonic at work but after that there where no problems :)
Sure there are things that need/have to be fixed in the firmware, I have made a small review in the Kodi forum in the same tread that HDMkv have made his fine and informative review of the H8 and Zidoo X6.
