Pulling my hair out with trying to update to beta firmware.Followed the procedure on firmware page and keep getting error message...verifying package failed check package in red letters.Ive tried 3 usb sticks and downloaded firmware numerous times.
Does the zip ota package have to be unzipped?
TIA

No, it doesn't have to be unzipped.
Copy ZIDOO_Z10_N_v1.9.7_201811211726_ota-package.zip to root of FAT32 formatted USB stick then go through box menus Quick Settings - Other - Upgrade - Update - USB Update
The only thing you may be doing wrong is not formatting the USB stick as FAT32.

Thanks for reply but Ive done all that will try to source another stick

Still no joy :(

Weird. The error you get implies that there is something wrong with the firmware archive. There isn't, so only possible problems are 1. Bad download - download again 2. Something wrong with the way the archive is stored on the USB stick (wrong format, bad usb stick).

Hi, in another forum that participated (Spain) have reported the same problem with the .ZIP of this fiirmware. I bought the Z10 from you and I did not have any problems with the update. Yes, I did a factory reset before, I also copied the .ZIP file directly to the Zidoo sdcard. Regards

Thanks for the replies guys.Ive done everything above and still no luck. This isnt the first time Ive flashed firmwares and have never had to reset a box first.Does this have to be done on Zidoos

No, it doesn't.
My advice is to wait for the final release.
