Title: No Google Store or Services?

I'm new to this box and thought it was going to be great however there is no Google Store nor Play Services that I can find and as such most of the apps I bought this for are useless. Oh sure you can hunt around for APKs and try to install them but they fail to run. Am I missing something or is this just an expensive toy?

Zidoo have omitted Google Play Services intentionally (same as Dune with their latest products). It runs in the background and can cause problems (stutter / missed frames) with media playback on all Android devices. Zidoo products are primarily media players, by omitting Play Services Zidoo have optimised their product for this purpose. There are alternative app stores which can be installed and which do not have the system baggage of Play Store. e.g. https://en.aptoide.com/

There will be an option to install Google Play Services in future Zidoo firmware (effectively the same as installing the apk at http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/google-play-kit-for-z9s-z10.12542/). In the meantime it can be installed using the .apk in the Zidoo forum thread.
