I will open this topic because I think it is a common cause and from my point of view all version from 2.0.6 until now was a step back. It is not normal to brake sometging and to move one to another "fix "
Can this Commpany have correct subs? This is a very simple question....I expect the answer to be the same.

Good initiative, maybe this can help grab himedia`s attention. I am stuck on 2.0.6 due to this issue.

I removed a couple of posts because they were either abusive or advised installing firmware which we think inadvisable to install (may brick European/international Q10 Pro).

Also still stuck with 2.0.6 fro the same reason.
What you can try with newer firmwares as workaround: Convert the .srt subtitle to .sup (Blu-ray sup) format with SubtitleEdit (with the File->Export option). My presumption is that it will work without skipping as it's a completely different, picture based sub format (PNG), but i'm not 100% sure if it really will. To make it work as external subtitle just rename it's extension from .sup to .ass or .ssa, so no need to mux it as embedded in the video.

Sorry, I am a bit confused - so does the last custom firmware contain the fix for the subtitles with overlapping times ?

My guess that only for .ass subs and not for .srt's.

Why is there a problem with .ass (and .sup PGS) subs as well in later OFW's after 2.0.6? Did they removed the support or what must have you fix with them? What "clipping" supposed to mean in your statement regarding .srt in OFW 2.0.6?
.ass and .sup (PNG) external and internal subs working 100% fine on OFW 2.0.6.

Could you specify what it means "clipping"?
