Good day,
this is new for me, because i just received this wunderful mediaplayer/streamer device :)
Until now it works great.
Just 1 question, if i want to put files on the usb HD that is on one of the usb ports on the H8,
i would like to do this with my pc, because the files are on the pc.
If i look on my pc in the network, i see all of my other devices, like, tv, wife's pc, my receiver and so on,
but i don't see my H8 ???
I know it is on the network because i can play files from my networkdrive that is also on the network.
I know the ip of the H8 but when i try to connect to it through my pc i can not get a connection.
Does anybody know what i have to do ?
Thanks for your help.

Are you using Kodi.?
I think there is a setting to share your library under system settings in Kodi... That way it should show up on your network.. I'll have a look later when I'm home..

The H8 can view Samba shares, but cannot share connected USB drives (i.e. act as a Samba server).
So you can't see the contents of a USB HDD attached to the H8 on another network device (e.g. Windows 10 PC).
A solution to this is for you to copy the files from your PC to the H8 using the H8. Install 'ES File Explorer' from Play Store on the H8 and use it to browse to the files on your PC (they will need to be visible on the network). You can then copy them to H8 from the PC.
Probably a faster solution is to unplug the USB HDD from the H8 and plug it into the PC. :)

Hello helpers ;)
thank you for your quick respond.
Now i know that the drives are not vissible, so perhaps it is indeed the simple way to disconnect the drives and plug them into the pc and put the files on.
To bad, but you can not have everything :D
Thanks again.
